Ssuhaan JaiinAspiring AI Engineer and Entrepreneur

I'm a second-year Computer Science student at King's College London, currently on track for First-Class Honours with a 76.1% first-year average, including 85% in Foundations of Computing and 84% in Programming Practice & Applications. Alongside my degree, I'm also completing the Associateship of King's College (AKC), an interdisciplinary programme exploring ethics, philosophy, and culture alongside science and technology. Right now, most of my time is spent building AI systems and web products. I'm a Backend AI Engineering Intern at FlyRank AI, where I work on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and agentic workflows using FastAPI, Express, vector databases, and large language models. Alongside that, I work as a freelance full-stack developer for Chandi Silver Studio, where I designed and built their headless e-commerce platform from scratch using Next.js. The platform integrates Shopify's APIs, four payment gateways including Klarna and Clearpay, Royal Mail fulfilment, and runs across a multi-domain Vercel setup. I handle everything from architecture and development to deployment, maintenance, and client support. Before this, I was an AI & Systems Intern at Babaclick, where I helped build Atlas, an internal fulfilment platform, and developed automation that supported logistics for more than 250 customer orders. I'm also interested in how people interact with technology, not just how the technology works. My research, published in the International Journal of Creative Research Thoughts, looked at public trust in autonomous vehicles. After surveying more than 200 people across India, I found that explainability mattered more than safety records when it came to whether people trusted autonomous systems. That idea—building technology that people can actually understand and trust—is something I keep coming back to. Outside of engineering, I've always enjoyed leading teams and building communities. I served as School Prefect, representing students and mentoring more than 200 juniors. As President of the Technology Club, I led a team of 30 students to organise Access, our school's inter-school technology festival, which welcomed over 50 schools and around 1,500 attendees. I also taught Python and Scratch workshops to more than 60 students. Alongside that, I was Vice President of the Western Music Club, directing a 30-member orchestra and performing as the lead drummer and guitarist at inter-school competitions. At King's, I currently volunteer as both a Computer Science Subject Ambassador and a Unibuddy Ambassador, helping prospective students learn more about studying at the university. I've also always been drawn to entrepreneurship. Through IIT Delhi's Young CEO Programme, I founded Pixel Bay, a digital art trading platform that won both First Prize and the Audience Choice Award. What I enjoy most is taking an idea from the very beginning—understanding the problem, designing the product, building it, and then getting it into the hands of real users. Long term, I'd love to build AI systems that help people make better decisions, especially in areas like autonomous vehicles. For me, the hardest and most interesting challenge isn't making an AI system work—it's making one that people genuinely understand and trust.

Projects

Pulse

A personalised music intelligence newsletter — three AI-generated weekly reports (The Dig on Mondays, The Arc on Wednesdays, The Drop on Fridays) built from a user's Spotify listening history. Conceived and shipped solo: defined the product end-to-end (edition structure, user flow, email design system, web experience), vibe-coded the full stack with Cursor and Claude, designed all three email templates from scratch, and built animated web viewers for each edition. Built from idea to deployed product in under 4 weeks.

Tech: n8n, Gemini API, Supabase, Spotify API, Vercel, Cursor, GSAP, Resend, Tailwind

RoadSense.ai

A road accident intelligence dashboard for exploring 20,000+ accident records through an interactive map with heatmaps, markers, and filtering by weather, road type, and time. Client-side CSV processing drives real-time spatial and statistical analysis, with Leaflet for map visualisation and Recharts for charts. Optionally integrates the Gemini API to generate AI insights on selected hotspots.

Tech: React, Vite, Leaflet, Recharts, Gemini API, Node.js, Express

Chandi Silver Studio

Headless e-commerce storefront built for a live UK jewellery client — Shopify Storefront API and Customer Account API (OAuth 2.0) on a custom Next.js frontend, four integrated payment gateways (including Klarna and Clearpay), and Royal Mail's fulfilment API for automated order tracking. Delivered end-to-end as a freelance engagement, from architecture through production deployment.

Tech: Next.js, Shopify Storefront API, OAuth 2.0, Vercel, Klarna, PayPal, Clearpay, Royal Mail API

Veera

"Road Safety Intelligence Through Explainable AI" — a multi-agent AI platform that analyses road safety data from the UK and India. Six specialist AI agents answer natural-language questions about traffic accidents, enriching queries with weather data and geographic hotspot analysis to return structured, policy-relevant briefings. Built on 300,000+ UK collision records (STATS19) and Indian state-level accident statistics (MoRTH), as a capstone for the Kaggle 5-Day AI Agents Intensive course (2026), under the theme "Agents for Good."

Tech: Python, Google ADK, React, TypeScript

Dino Dynamics

A Java predator-prey ecosystem simulation built with 15+ OOP-modelled classes. Dinosaurs breed, hunt, and die; weather and disease shape the world over time, with a GUI for live observation.

Tech: Java, OOP

AirWatch London

A JavaFX application visualising 18 datasets (2018–2023) of London air pollution (DEFRA data). Integrates the Open-Meteo API and OpenStreetMap for live air-quality and geographic data, with trend analysis, alerts, and grid-level inspection.

Tech: Java, JavaFX, REST APIs

Spotify Track Clustering

Analysed Spotify track audio features (tempo, energy, danceability) using PCA for dimensionality reduction and K-Means for clustering. Implements a basic recommender that surfaces tracks within the same cluster.

Tech: Python, Scikit-learn, PCA, K-Means, Jupyter Notebook

Perception of Autonomous Vehicles

First-author research paper — "A Study on People's Perception Towards Autonomous Vehicles in India" — published in IJCRT (Oct 2024). Surveyed and analysed public attitudes toward AV adoption.

Tech: Research, Survey, Analysis

Donut Duty

Extended the Zuul framework to build a text-based adventure with multi-room navigation, command parsing, inventory, NPCs, combat, teleportation, and locked progression — all using clean OOP design.

Tech: Java, OOP

Pixel Bay

Founded and built Pixel Bay, a digital art trading platform, as part of the IIT Delhi Young CEO Program. Won 1st Prize and the Audience Choice Award out of 100+ teams.

Tech: Product, UX, Pitch

JARVIS Assistant

A Raspberry Pi-based voice assistant inspired by JARVIS, integrated with the Alexa API for voice recognition and command execution. Handles voice-triggered tasks, smart responses, and basic automation through hardware-software interaction.

Tech: Raspberry Pi, Alexa API, Python, IoT

Plant Watering System

An automated plant watering system using Arduino and soil moisture sensors. Monitors real-time soil conditions and activates water flow when required, simulating smart home gardening automation.

Tech: Arduino, Sensors, C++, IoT

Automatic Parking Gate System

A high school physics project built using Arduino and ultrasonic sensors to simulate an automatic parking gate system. The gate detects approaching vehicles and triggers automated opening and closing mechanisms based on distance thresholds.

Tech: Arduino, Ultrasonic Sensors, C++, Electronics

Line Following Robot

An Arduino-based line-following robot using infrared sensors to detect and track paths. The system dynamically adjusts motor output to maintain trajectory, demonstrating principles of feedback control and embedded systems.

Aspiring AI Engineer and Entrepreneur

I've been taking things apart ever since I was old enough to reach the back of a games console. These days, that curiosity has turned into building AI systems, backend infrastructure, and full-stack products while studying Computer Science at King's College London. I enjoy building things that people actually use, and I care just as much about the design and user experience as I do about the code behind it.
